IMPORTANT TRAVEL INFORMATION - SALALAH TRIP

• Entry permit is subject to approval by the Oman Government.
• Dependent visa holders and student visa holders without sponsors must apply for an Oman visa.
• Please carry your original Emirates ID and passport while traveling.
• Passport must have at least 6 months’ validity from the date of departure from Salalah
• Emirates ID must have at least 3 months’ validity from the date of departure from Salalah.
• Guests can pay the border fee directly at the border. AED 35 is applicable as the border fee. Please keep AED 35 in exact change, as no credit/debit cards are accepted.
• Alcohol is strictly prohibited. Please do not carry any alcoholic items in your baggage or pockets, as strict checking will be conducted at the border.
• On Day 1 of departure, a complimentary packed dinner will be provided
• On Day 2 (breakfast) and Day 4 (dinner on checkout day), meals will be at guests’ own expense.
• The Salalah operations team will not be responsible for any changes in travel regulations that may affect or alter the itinerary after confirmation of services.
• Travel and health insurance is not included in the package; however, we strongly recommend all guests obtain insurance for the trip.
• We recommend carrying fever and digestive medicines for your convenience during the trip.
• If you are carrying any medication, please keep your medical prescription with you.
• A name tag on your luggage is mandatory for customs clearance. Please ensure all bags have a clearly labeled name tag with your details.
• Please carry some snacks, chocolates, and fruits for your convenience during travel and sightseeing.

Safety Guidelines for Tourists Visiting Salalah during Khareef

• Heed Warning from Authorities: Always listen to and follow any warnings or advisories issued by local authorities. These alerts are meant to keep you safe from potential hazards such as accidents, waterlogging, landslides, or unsafe areas.
• Avoid Swimming in Springs: Although the springs look inviting, they can be dangerous due to strong currents, varying depths, and hidden rocks. Swimming in these waters is not at all advisable.
• Slippery Roads: The monsoon rains make roads in Salalah slippery and treacherous. Advisable to exercise caution while driving, especially on curved and steep inclines, ensure your vehicle’s tyres and brakes are in excellent condition to handle wet road conditions effectively.
• Mosquito Bites: The monsoon season often brings an increase in mosquitoes. Protect yourself by using insect repellent and wearing long sleeves and pants while visiting tourist spots.
• Avoid Rough Sea: The monsoon can make the sea rough and dangerous for swimming or boating. It is best to stay away from the water during this time to avoid accidents.
• Khareef brings intermittent rainfall and misty conditions. Be prepared by wearing waterproof clothing, including a sturdy rain jacket, umbrella, and waterproof shoes. This will help you stay dry and comfortable as you explore the misty landscapes and navigate potentially slippery surfaces.

• Hold your relevant Documents Original Emirates ID & Passport while traveling (Passport must have at least 6 Months & Emirates ID should have at least 3 Months of validity from the date of departure from Salalah). Please ensure the safety of your documents while engaging deeply into the thrills of your journey.

DRESS CODE & OTHER ACCESSORIES PREFERRED DURING THE TRIP

• Wear free and comfortable clothes and you may avoid formal dressing.
• Use open sandals or flip-flops as your preferred footwear to avoid the discomfort in walking.
• You can carry a pair of sunglasses and a hat to protect yourselves from the heat.
• Do not forget to carry your camera to capture the beautiful moments of your life.
• Keep a raincoat or umbrella.

REMARKS

• Any services not utilized on time will not be refunded nor adjusted.
• Never show hesitation to follow the instructions of your Tour Manager.
• Take care of yourself and follow rules while engaging in water activities.
• Please take extra care of your personal belongings while on the tour, Travel Agency will not be liable for any loss of belongings.
• Keep your swimming suites or other active wares, swimming glass, ear-buds & towels, etc. if you are interested in the beach & other activities.
• Travel Agency shall not accept any liability or responsibility for any damages, loss, baggageloss, theft, injury, accident, death, breakdown, or irregularity, which may occur in carrying out the tour arrangement, weather conditions, strikes, war, quarantine, and any other cause whatsoever and all such loss or expense must be borne by the passengers.
• Travel Agency will not be responsible for change in travel regulation which may interrupt or cause change in the travel plan at any point post confirmation of services.
• Travel Agency will not be responsible for cancellation of this package due to any changes in Govt. Rules and regulation of respective authority.
